QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree and/or two years of industry experience preferred.
- Self-motivated with personality and poise requisite for contact with the public.
- Available for occasional evening and/or weekend banquets.
- Desire and ability to work with high school students.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education deems appropriate.
REPORTS TO:
Building Principal and Commercial Foods Instructor
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Works with students having special needs who have trouble succeeding in the Commercial Foods Program without special help.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists groups or individuals to achieve successful completion of each assignment or task.
- (Front House Duties) Supervises and assists students working at:
- Cashiering (daily check and recording or meal receipts) by making a final check of income and by “turning in” money each day to the appropriate person.
- Setting, waiting upon, and busing tables.
- Beverage preparation and service.
- Side duties of dining room operations.
- (Heart of the House Duties) Supervises and assists students working in the:
- Garde manger
- Center of Plate
- Starches
- Various Cooking Methods
- Safety and Sanitation
- Performs other related duties which may be assigned by the commercial food instructor (e.g. processing purchase orders, requisitions, inventories, etc.).
PAY/BENEFITS:
Starting pay: $21.32/hour

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work days and work hours are established annually.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
45 working days
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated during the probationary period and annually in accordance with the policy of the Board of Education regarding evaluation of support staff (non-certified) personnel.
This position would start September 21, 2026.
