QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 60 college credit hours
• Teaching certificate, or substitute teaching permit
• Classroom experience, preferred
• Must be approved to sub through EDUStaff

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. A Permanent Building Substitute is assigned to one school: middle school (1) or elementary buildings (4), and reports to the building principal and/or school secretary. 
1. NOTE: Substitute will need to be flexible with building placement based on District needs. 
2. Remain at school during the entire school day unless excused by the principal.
3. Maintain as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school, classroom and position to which assigned.
4. Follow lesson plans and directions left by the teacher. 
5. Assume all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher.
6. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
7. Model professional experience, attitude and demeanor.
8. Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher.
9. Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
10. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
11. Assist with non-classroom duties when assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• This position is for the 2024/2025 school year, September 3, 2024 - June 11, 2025
• Hourly pay rate of $17.03/hour; 7.25 hours/day
• Paid time off
